The Laux Creative Story
The rise, fall, and (rise again?) story of Laux Creative
2002
Jeromy gets his first camera.
His parents bought him a little toy camera for Christmas and he became obsessed.
2015
Jeromy books his first wedding.
He second shot a couple weddings starting in 2012. His very first wedding was Katy and Cody Wright. “They’re the best.”
2018-2023
Jeromy moves to Columbus and Laux Creative is formed.
He wanted to get out of the house and have separation from home stressors and business. He quickly expanded… too fast. He hired 9 different people over the span of these years, and many interns.
2025
Jeromy books his dream job, is separated from his wife, and moves back to his hometown.
He was hired by Grace Centers of Hope to manage a documentary in its’ entirety. His specific role was to direct, however he also wore the hat of hiring everyone involved.
The stories he heard were truly devastating, and hard to process.
He fell off the wagon, to put it lightly.
He left the RAW materials in their safekeeping and only retained 50% of the contract. This was paid out to his crew.
2026
Jeromy reopens Laux Creative. Which is basically him and his cousin right now.
He has learned invaluable life lessons that he vows to never repeat. He looks forward to working on documentary films and photojournalistic projects. He is not afraid to “do the dirty work”, if it pays the bills.
He is excited about working alongside his cousin, Doug, as much as he can. He also hopes to partner with his “dogs” Chris, Elvis, Alex, Michael, Elijah, Thi and others.
