Winners of the Wittenberg University Alumni of the Year, Karlos Marshall and Moses Mbeseha, founders of The Conscious Connect, are making a positive impact as they work to eradicate "urban book deserts" - a term meaning 1 book for every 300 individuals, and a sad side effect of a lack of literary support for children in struggling areas.
We had the pleasure of filming the dynamic pair as they laid out their plan to reinvigorate urban areas and serve as a cultural renaissance and street revitalization organization, while creating an inspiring short film that was showcased at Wittenberg's virtual Homecoming to celebrate their win.
